Management Development Programme on Disaster Management and Preparedness- May 12th-16th, 2014

Disasters have been a part of our existence since times immemorial and form a major area of concern in the modern world due to reasons known to most us. The human race has progressed a lot and has found several ways of fighting the deadliest of the disasters of all kinds. One such method to fight disasters is to learn to manage disasters and also be prepared to face the after effects.

Keeping the same in mind a five-day long Management Development Programme was conducted at IIHMR, Jaipur on Disaster Management and Preparedness from May 12th- 16th, 2014. The programme had inputs from some of the experts in the field of disaster management and from professionals with a first-hand experience of managing disasters.

The participants were seven in number and all of them found the entire exercise highly beneficial and informative.

EVALUATION Of HEALTHCARE INTERVENTIONS – May 5th- 11th, 2014

The month of May at IIHMR, Jaipur began with an exclusive Management Development Programme, the purpose of conducting which was to educate healthcare professionals from Bnagladesh, in the field of Evaluation of Healthcare Interventions. There were a total of nine participants and the programme was much appreciated by all of them.
The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh wanted to train its existing healt
hcare professionals in the field of Evaluation In order to be able monitor and assess the programme goals on regular basis and to increase the accuracy and effectiveness of the ongoing interventions. For which it is found essential to develop skills related to programme evaluation. 
It was in this context that to develop the capacity of senior /mid-level managers at the project level this training was initiated. The training went on for seven days and the participants were enabled further in the same arena.
